Based on the recent report today, publisher W.W. Norton and Company, announced that Kip Thorne, a theoretical physicist and the scientific adviser and executive producer of Interstellar, is writing a companion guide (The Science of Interstellar) to Christopher Nolan's film promising some basic science and some background information on Mr. Nolan's work.

The guide, which will include a foreword by Christopher Nolan himself, will be released in November when the film releases. According to the publisher, Mr. Thorne's plan is to explain "the dazzling science that underpins the film."

This isn't the first tie-in book, though; back in April we reported "Interstellar: Beyond Time And Space," by Mark Cotta Vaz, documenting the making of Intertellar in fascinating detail and features interviews with Christopher Nolan, his brother Jonathan Nolan and other key members of the crew.
