Filming in Iceland is officially done, but exactly what Chris Nolan was filming remains a top secret. Actors Matthew McConaughey, Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway and David Gyasi were all in the country with Christopher Nolan, shooting perhaps an action sequence or a suspenseful chase scene set in a different planet. Who knows? - Their character names and roles, however, as the plot of the film itself remain a secret. Well, except, McConaughey's, for his character's name is 'Cooper', which was revealed earlier this year.

Some of you might already know this as we this morning on our official Facebook page posted that a sandstorm wreaked havoc earlier this week across the country; approximately 70 people, according to Iceland Review Online spent one night at a makeshift emergency center in South Iceland. Their cars and the windows were shattered by rocks hurled by the raging storm. Fortunately, for Chris Nolan and his team the Interstellar sets were unaffected by the storm. They commenced filming the following day.

Matt Damon, whose involvement with the project was announced late August landed in Iceland during the early weeks of September to play, per several reports, a small part. And as rest of the cast members Damon's role also remains undisclosed. According to some of the Icelandic websites reports indicated that Damon was spotted dining with cast and crew of Interstellar in tents; one of the tents is specially designed for Damon, McConaughey, Hathaway and Chris Nolan. Locals, to catch a glimpse of their favorite movie stars and to get a chance to meet them face to face were kept away by security officials. - Interstellar is set to release on November 7, 2014. The film will also feature Casey Affleck, Bill Irwin, John Lithgow, Wes Bentley, David Oyelowo, Mackenzie Foy, Topher Grace and Ellen Burstyn.

The following image is from the set of Interstellar captured by Paul Franklin, who's been sharing some interesting images on Twitter. Nolan is shooting only significant parts of the film with IMAX cameras. - This is what we have so far from Iceland. Stay tuned! And don't forget to follow us on our Facebook and Twitter feeds.
